This song began as a journal entry while sauntering the property. The lyrics come directly from observation, with any metaphor appearing in an unplanned way. The imagery is drawn from the land itself. The song and video were later used for CKCU’s Tree Songs campaign — a grassroots effort encouraging the City of Ottawa to preserve protected greenspace from development.  -Chad
