This creek flows from the ponds near Blueberry and Pike’s Peak and helps form the Clyde River as it becomes navigable. From there, it makes a pleasant meander through the forest along Highway 511 before reaching the Mississippi near Lanark. Eventually, it makes a slow U-turn back toward the Ottawa, passing through Carleton Place, Almonte, Arnprior along the way.
A little creek with rather more travel plans than you might expect, leaving only the more primitive sorts without motors to do much of its earlier route. -Chad
